absolutes across schools. It pushes the complexity issue even deeper because what is relevant to my students in Virginia may not be as relevant to another set of students in Japan (of course, much can be -- I am not arguing for narrowed focus here -- but the reality is that there are differences no matter how global we are). So good curriculum will have common standards that are then applied by thoughtful, skilled teachers with their own individual classrooms and students. How do we tell that story?</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/6011483/1687163055787799662/comments/default/3468739865161235064'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/6011483/1687163055787799662/comments/default/3468739865161235064'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://www.newprogressivism.org/2009/03/what-is-great-curriculum.html?showComment=1236599460000#c3468739865161235064' title=''/><author><name>Susanne Nobles</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/05385103686774213540</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='21' height='32' src='http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_FODnLH6kQp4/SW0GfO3IcAI/AAAAAAAAAFA/cSNIvCcCIWc/S220/Profile+2009.JPG'/></author><thr:in-reply-to xmlns:thr='http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0' href='http://www.newprogressivism.org/2009/03/what-is-great-curriculum.html' ref='tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6011483.post-1687163055787799662' source='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/6011483/posts/default/1687163055787799662' type='text/html'/><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='blogger.itemClass' value='pid-1549173219'/></entry></feed>
